We are surrounded by the beauty of plants, gardens and nature, so this competition is the perfect way to celebrate the diversity of our world around us using different media. We are calling on all people, whether they’re gardeners, artists or photographers, to record and submit their images for free to our competition.
There is a category for everyone, and we want to share your passion, through images, with all of our different audiences.
A category for everyone using any media:
Flowers: A closeup of your favourite flower or flowers.
Wildlife: Share your happy garden visitors.
My Bit of Paradise: A newly planted garden or a well-established one to show off your hard work.
Beautiful Pots and Containers: Created a garden using pots or planted up a pot with a new combination
Need a helping hand?
Throughout the competition we have our local experts on hand running workshops on painting, photography, pottery and garden design in the garden centre along with providing hints and tips on our facebook page and website.
Whether it’s your most colourful pot plant or a brand new planted area, you can portray anything inspired by gardens and win yourself tickets for the Harrogate Autumn Flower Show and a year’s membership to the RHS.
There’s also prizes for second and third, voted by popular People’s Choice. Artists have no size requirements and can use any media.
You can find all the details on the Your Garden Palette Competition at https://www.deepdalegardencentre.co.uk or you can get up to date news on the Facebook page. So dust off your easels, grab your cameras, start planting those pots and borders and enjoy crafting something beautiful from nature.
